El satélite Eutelsat 25B / Es’hail-1 reemplaza al Eutelsat 25 C , satélite éste último al que se le asignará otra posición en la que continuará su servicio comercial .
El satélite Eutelsat 25B se encuentra ya en el puerto espacial de Kourou, en la Guyana Francesa, donde se han puesto en marcha los preparativos para su lanzamiento, previsto para el próximo día 29 de agosto a bordo de un cohete Ariane 5.
RRsat Global Communications Network ha firmado un acuerdo para permitir que Word Network, la mayor emisora religiosa afroamericana de los Estados Unidos, pueda verse en Australia, Nueva Zelanda y los países árabes. Para ello, la compañía utilizará los satélites Eutelsat 25C y Optus D2.
